Palmer Doyle Fletcher, 85, of Inverness, passed away, November 28, 2012, at G. V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. Visitation will be held from 12:00 - 1:00 pm, Saturday, December 1st, at Beulah Baptist Church in Inverness. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 pm under the direction of Burton Funeral Home of Indianola. Interment will be at New Cleveland Cemetery, Cleveland, Mississippi. Mr. Fletcher was born in Cleveland, Mississippi to Palmer Doc and Garner Estelle Fletcher. He was retired from Columbia Gulf after 28 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Alice Berry Fletcher; two daughters, Gail Wade of Benton, Arkansas and Judy (Grady) Rowland of Tyler, Texas; one son, Steve Fletcher (Sharon) of Hohenwald, Tennessee; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; three sisters; Otell Cobb, Louise Hollingsworth and Gladys Cobb, all of Cleveland, Mississippi. In addition to his parents, Mr. Fletcher was preceded in death by one daughter, Cindy Fletcher; one grandson, Josh Wade; and one son-in-law, Mickey Wade.
