Rodney Allison, Sr., 67, passed away January 19, 2013. A visitation will be held at Natchez Trace Funeral Home in Madison, Mississippi Monday, January 21, 2013, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A celebration of his life will be held at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola, Mississippi, Tuesday, January 22, 2013, with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm until the 2:00 pm service. Burial will follow in Shaw Cemetery in Shaw, Mississippi, all under the direction of Burton Funeral Home. Mr. Allison was born on February 11, 1945, in Pensacola, Florida to the late Albert Van Buren and Janie Lou Carpenter Allison. He had a very kind and giving nature. Mr. Allison was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Rhonda Kaye Allison; and one brother, Paul Allison. He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy, of 47 years; two sons, Rodney Allison, Jr., and Ronald Keith Allison; two sisters, Margie Malher and Judy Murphree; three brothers, Tommy Allison, Kenneth Allison and Van Allison; and grandchildren, Rodney, III, Toni, Alex, Brandon and Ashlyn.
