Walter Felix Pennebaker, 67, of Itta Bena died Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. Visitation will be Saturday, March 2, 2013 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Inverness. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Pennebaker was born January 25, 1946 in Greenwood, Mississippi to Walter Duncan and Clara Price Pennebaker. He attended Mississippi Delta Community College and Mississippi State University. He enjoyed a long, successful career in farming. Mr. Pennebaker was a member of First Baptist Church of Inverness. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Clarice Pennebaker Brantley. Mr. Pennebaker is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Smith Pennebaker; two daughters, Allyn Pennebaker (David) Camp of Greenwood and Tracy Pennebaker (Banks) Link of Nashville, Tennessee; one sister, Martha Pennebaker (Aaron) Pinkston of Dayton, Ohio, and six grandchildren.
