Funeral services for A.G. Harold "Bud" Felton, 74, of Indianola, and formerly of Louise, will be held Friday, April 21, 2023, at 2:00 pm, at Lake Washington First Baptist Church, 1068 Lake Washington Rd. East, Glen Allan, MS 38744.  Reverend Josh Warren will be officiating the service. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.

Bud passed away Friday, March 3, 2023, at Allegiance Specialty Hospital of Greenville. He was born June 13, 1948, in Childress, Texas, to A.G. and Olney Marchbanks Felton. He was a United States Army Veteran and served in the Vietnam War.

Bud and Betty Ann met in 1989 and married shortly thereafter. They were a match made in heaven and knew it right away. They loved spending time together and playing with and spoiling their dogs, Sam and Yo-Yo. They lived in Cleveland, MS for the first years of their marriage, where Bud worked for the city of Cleveland and for Gaines Oil Company. You could always find him around town, up in his bucket truck, fixing something! They then resided in Louise, MS for many years. Bud loved and treated Betty Ann's 3 grown children from a previous marriage as his own, along with their children and grandchildren. Bud enjoyed going fishing and spending time with family and friends. He liked the Green Bay Packers and the Las Vegas Raiders NFL teams and often sported his favorite team jerseys and caps from his impressive collection. He enjoyed watching movies and traveling to visit his kids in Texas and Wisconsin. He enjoyed having a cup of coffee in his favorite coffee mug and always enjoyed keeping a stash of snacks and sweets, which he enjoyed sharing with others. And he loved eating Chuck's burgers with his family in Rolling Fork, MS.

Anyone who was fortunate enough to know Bud will tell you, he was kind, selfless and generous. He asked for little and gave much. During challenging times in life, he never complained; he just kept going. And although he was a man of few words most of the time, he was known for his one-line zingers that would catch people off-guard and have them in stitches.

Bud was preceded in death by his wife of 27 years, Betty Ann Felton (2016), his nephew Donald McKinney, his great nephew, Russell Andrew Barnes (2004), his parents.

He is survived by children "Little Bud", "Sissy". Son, Ken Barnes and his wife, Felix Mondragon of Arkansas. Ken's daughter, Amber Warren, along with her family, husband, Josh Warren, son, Andrew Warren and daughter, Grace Warren. Daughter, Krissy Free of Texas, along with her daughter, Katelin Moore, her husband, Josh Moore and their son, Cooper Ray Moore. Daughter, Cindy Daniel of Wisconsin, along with her son, Josh Daniel, and son, Jacob Daniel and his family, wife Samantha, son, Bentley and daughter, Alexa and a sister, Mary Ann Felton Garcia  and her husband, Guadalupe of Crowley, Texas, two nieces; Shawna McKinney of Burleson, Texas and Deanna McKinney of El Claire, Wisconsin, a nephew, Cecil McKinney of Aledo, Texas; 10 great nieces and great nephews; Marissa West, Marianne Stonebraker, Leah Beth Patterson, Maysa Bell, Jett Bell, Aubrey McKinney, Maya McKinney, Kailey McKinney and Chayce McKinney.

We will miss you, Bud. We will miss your daily phone calls and your sense of humor. We know you are at peace now and we will see you again in Heaven! Praise God!!

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all those who helped care for Bud in his final years. To everyone at Indywood, his doctors, nurses, and caregivers, thank you for all your kindness and hard work. We especially want to extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation to Ms. Nancy Cadena and to Mr. King Bell. You each treated Bud with kindness, love, and respect, like your own family. You went out of your way to help him whenever he needed it and then some. You were Bud's angels on earth!! We will forever be grateful to you both.
