Albert Ray Holeman, Jr., 56, of Sunflower, passed away at his home on Tuesday, September 19, 2023.

Albert Ray was born September 6, 1967, in Indianola, to Albert Ray Holeman, Sr. and Alice Louise Bowen Holeman. He graduated from North Sunflower Academy and Mississippi Delta Junior College. Albert Ray married Pattie Renee Isom on January 27, 1990, and for 33 years they made their home in Sunflower. Together, they enjoyed traveling, deer camp, and gatherings with family and friends. Pattie passed away June 8, 2023, from cancer. He loved and missed her dearly. He is with her again now. They were both members of Sunflower Baptist Church. Albert Ray enjoyed being around people and loved you all!!

Albert Ray is preceded in death by his parents, Albert Ray Sr. and Alice Holeman and his beloved wife, Pattie Isom Holeman.

He is survived by his sister, Rita Jones (Jerry) of Shaw; stepsister, Janie Fales of New York; brothers in law, Victor A. "Oscar" Isom, Jr. (Hala) of Centennial, Colorado and Freddie Isom of Sunflower; several nieces and nephews; and other family and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, at Sunflower Baptist Church in Sunflower. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm with Rev. Elbert McKnight officiating. Burial will follow in Moorhead Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
