Alice Holeman Dodd, 87, of Shaw, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2021. She grew up in Ruleville. She married Albert Ray Holeman, Sr. on October 31, 1948, and they raised two children. Alice enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an excellent homemaker who enjoyed spending time with family. She was a member of Ruleville Church of God. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Mary Louise Sibley Bowen; late husbands, Albert Ray Holeman, Sr. and John Howard Dodd; brother, Travis Bowen; sisters, Daisy Weatherford and Carolyn Burchfield. She is survived by son, Albert Ray Holeman, Jr. (Pattie) of Sunflower; daughter, Rita Jones (Jerry) of Shaw; stepdaughter, Janie Dodd Fales of Colorado; grandchildren, Rayanne Sullivan (Wesley) of Cleveland; JeriKay and Jessica Jones of Shaw; great grandchildren, Litton, Aiden, and Connor Sullivan of Cleveland and Bryleigh Flowers of Shaw; brothers, Clifford Bowen (LaCelle) of Flora and Charles Bowen of Indianola, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 29, 2021, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am with Rev. Ken West officiating. Burial will follow in Lehrton Cemetery in Ruleville. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
