Alice Faye Roberson Keith, 75, of Inverness, passed away Friday, June 3, 2022, at her home.

She was born January 7, 1947, in Linn, to Clinton and Bertha Mae Coats Roberson. She was a graduate of Linn High School. Faye worked for the United States Postal Service as Postmistress in Morgan City and Panther Burn. She retired after over 30 years of service. Faye was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She loved her family more than anything. Faye had a passion for raising flowers, especially roses, and could make any plant grow. She enjoyed music and casino trips with her family. Faye loved the Mississippi Delta and was proud to tell anyone that she lived here. Faye was an avid reader and was always trying to learn something new. Her love of reading led to her working at the Inverness Library for many years and volunteered to read to the children. Faye taught APSL at Pillow Academy for many years and was active in the PTA. She was an active member of Morgan City Baptist Church for the 30 years they lived in Morgan City. She taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Faye was a happy lady that loved everyone and even cried over the squirrel she ran over. Most of all she had a very funny sense of humor that always kept everyone laughing.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 57 years, Leon Keith; daughter, Angelia Keith Yates; two brothers, Wayne Roberson and Samuel Roberson; and three sisters, Laroma Hazzard, Barbara Yates, and Susie Roberson.

She is survived by her son, Tony Keith of Inverness; five grandchildren, Katie Yates McElwrath (Robert), April Yates Baldwin (Michael), Benton Keith Yates (Ashton), Keith Duke, and Savannah Duke; thirteen great grandchildren; and two sisters, Joyce Gentry (Raymond) of Greenwood and Patricia Ann Jenkins of Clarksville, Georgia.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 7, 2022, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Linn Baptist Church in Doddsville. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm at Linn Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Linn Methodist Church Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
