Anita Diane Roebuck Tarver, 71, of Inverness, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2019 at her home.
Anita was born March 19, 1948, in Isola to John D. and Mary Ruth Hansell Roebuck. She was a devoted and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Anita was also a loving grandmother to all children and not just her own. She will always be remembered as very kind and generous. Anita would always go the extra mile to help anyone. She lived in Lake Village, Arkansas and retired from Bank of Hollandale and Washington County Bank in 1996. Anita moved to Inverness in 1998, where she served on the Inverness Recreational Pool Association, and was a member of the Inverness Chamber of Commerce. She was a longtime member of Beulah Baptist Church and moved to First Baptist Church in Inverness. Anita recently moved her letter of membership back to Beulah Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John D. Roebuck and Mary Ruth Roebuck.
Anita is survived by her husband of 35 years, Bobby Tarver of Inverness; one son, Charles Brad Fowler and wife Cindy of Inverness; one granddaughter, Britney Fowler Hicks and husband Justin of Inverness; one grandson, Dalton Fowler of Cleveland; one great grandson, Lake Hicks; six sisters, Jetty Walker in Bunnlevel, North Carolina, Betty Glenn of Columbus, Donnis McGaugh and husband Frank of Inverness, Alice Lindsey and husband James of Inverness, Patsy Miller and husband Freddy of Oakland, Tennessee, and Kat Touchet of Maine; one brother, John Roebuck of Memphis, Tennessee; special friend, Lisa; three stepdaughters, Donna Tarver, Denise Etherton, and Kim Debow, two step sons, Chris Tarver and Mark Tarver; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 24, 2019 from 1:00 pm until the 2:00 pm funeral service at First Baptist Church in Inverness. A private family burial will follow the service. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
