Audrea Elizabeth Culberson, 84, of Braxton, Mississippi and formerly of Indianola, passed away September 14, 2018 in Springfield, Tennessee while visiting with her son and family.
Liz was born in Columbus, Georgia on August 13, 1934. She graduated from Talladega High School in Talladega, Alabama. She then went to Belhaven College in Jackson, Mississippi. Liz was employed many years in Jackson. She then went on to travel with her husband, William J. Culberson, with his job. Liz was a member of New Zion Baptist Church in Braxton. She enjoyed reading, bingo, and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed her daily devotion and scripture.
Liz is preceded in death by her husband, William J. Culberson and her parents, Audrea and William Herbert Smith.
She is survived by her daughter, Audrea White and her husband Larry of Braxton; two sons, H. Donald Baker and his wife Pam of Brandon, and J. Lee Baker and his wife Deanna of Springfield, Tennessee; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at New Zion Baptist Church in Braxton on Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 9:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral service. Burial will follow in Indianola Memorial Gardens in Indianola at 4:00 pm. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to New Zion Baptist Church, 275 Andrews Road, Braxton, MS 39044.
