Augusta Simmons Armstrong, 85, of Memphis, Tennessee passed away on October 29th, 2022.

She was born to the late Herbert Simmons Sr., and Doris Inez Denson on July 11th, 1937. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Rodney Lynn Armstrong.

Augusta is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Smith and her husband Edward; her granddaughters, Alexis Smith Krc (John), Rachel Katherine Smith; and her sister, Erin Blessitt.

Memorials may be made in Augusta's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, American Heart Association, or to the Dementia Society of America.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 am, Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Roundaway Baptist Church Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
