Barbara Annette Hester Sharp, 82, of Indianola, passed away Monday, December 21, 2020, at Indianola Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

Barbara was born February 8, 1938, in Doddsville, to John Wylie Hester and Mattie Maude Hill Hester. She worked for Ludlow Manufacturing and later as a nurse's aide at South Sunflower County Hospital in Indianola.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ernest Sharp; and three stepchildren, Janice Peeples, Diane Bennett, and Michael Sharp.

She is survived by three daughters, Becky Boyd of Indianola, Vicki (David Earl) Keith of Indianola, and Michelle (George) Pickett of Madison; one sister, Carolyn Hurt of North Carolina; four grandchildren, Holly (Earl) Farmer, John Paul Anthony, Riley Pickett, and George Ann Pickett; and two great grandchildren, Walker Anthony and Weston Farmer.

The family will receive friends for a drive thru visitation from 12:00 pm until the 1:00 pm at Indianola Memorial Gardens, Saturday, December 26, 2020. Graveside services will follow at 1:00 pm with Rev. Matthew Morgan officiating. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
