Bertha Layuna Johnson, 62, of Indianola, and formerly of Panama City, Florida, passed away, Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Layuna was born August 26, 1957, in Monroe, Louisiana to Joseph D. Johnson and Bertha Gertrude Otts Johnson. She worked in the restaurant industry at McDonalds for many years until her health failed. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Joe Johnson. Layuna is survived by two sons, Allan Pearson and Lawrence Neubauer, both of Panama City, Florida; and three sisters, Beverly Romines of Indianola, Monica Asay of California, and Pam Wood of Arkansas.
