Bertha Dean Richardson, 74, of Indianola, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Bertha was born in Stewart, Mississippi and was the daughter of Robert A. and Edna E. Dean. She was retired from Production Credit Association where she traveled extensively installing and servicing computer systems. After her retirement, she worked part time for First United Methodist Church, Indianola, where she was currently a member. Bertha was a former member of First Christian Church, Greenwood.

Bertha was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willard Fitzgerald "Doc" Richardson, III; 5 brothers, Les, James, Douglas, Carl and Jimmy; and 2 sisters, Helen Croft and Gaitha Putnam. Bertha leaves to cherish her memory her son, Robin Richardson and his wife Melissa of Indianola; brother, Byron Dean and his wife Nell of Philadelphia; sisters, Sue Savory of Charlotte, North Carolina, Juanita Donaford and Nobie Gunter and her husband Ernest all of Tupelo; and two grandchildren, Cameron and Madeline Richardson.

The family will receive friends Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Burton Funeral Home, Indianola. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 1, 2016 at 10:00 am at First United Methodist Church, Indianola. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Greenwood. Burton Funeral Home, Indianola is in charge of arrangements.
