Betty Ann McCrory Felton, 71, of Indianola died Saturday, November 26, 2016 at South Sunflower County Hospital after an extended illness.
She was born December 23, 1944 in Newton, Mississippi to JT and Lora Belle Harvey McCrory. Betty was raised in Glen Allan and attended Western Line Consolidated Schools. She graduated from Glen Allan High School in 1962 and was the Homecoming Queen of her senior class. Betty was a member of Lake Washington First Baptist Church in Glen Allan. She was the Bakery & Deli Manager for the Sunflower Stores in Greenville and then Belzoni until she retired due to illness. Betty was a professional cake decorator and trained both of her daughters to decorate them as well. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, sewing, was an excellent cook and an avid college football and country music fan.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Kenneth McCrory; and grandson, Russell Andrew Barnes.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 27 years, AG Harold Felton, Jr. of Indianola; son, Ken Barnes of Glen Allan; two daughters, Cindy Daniel of Plymouth, Wisconsin and Krissy Free of Terrell, Texas; four grandchildren, Amber Grace Barnes Warren, Joshua Drew Daniel, Jacob Durant Daniel, and Katelin Nicole Free; and three great grandchildren, Andrew Heath Warren, Bentley Russell Daniel, and Alexa Shay Daniel.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 11:00 am at Lake Washington First Baptist Church in Glen Allan. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola is in charge of arrangements.
