Betty Sue Mallette, 80, of Indianola, passed away Friday September 13, 2019, in Pontotoc, Mississippi. She was born August 25, 1939, to Leon and Margaret Smith of Cleveland.  Betty Sue worked for Planters Bank and Trust in Indianola for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 50 years, Robert Doty Mallette of Boyle. They adopted two boys who survive her, Robert Jeffrey Mallette and wife Lisa of Indianola and Mickey Mallette and wife Beckyanne of New Albany.  She also leaves grandchildren: Scarlett, Grace, Sam, Anne Meredith and Sarah Mallette; as well as great-grandchildren.  She had a deep love for her family and her Savior, Jesus Christ. Visitation will be held Monday, September 16, 2019 at the Fellowship Hall of First Baptist Church in Indianola from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. with Funeral services to immediately follow in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church with Dr. Guy Burke officiating. Burial will follow in Indianola City Cemetery.
