Betty Anne Alexander Moak, 84, of Indianola, passed away at her home Monday, May 30, 2016. Betty Anne Alexander was born October 29, 1931 in Berclair, MS, to Max Dorman and Ida Brown Alexander.
Betty was a homemaker and for 58 years was co-owner of Moak Bottling Company. She was very active in her community holding memberships in David Holmes Chapter of DAR, Town & Country Garden Club, and the Civic League. Betty loved playing bridge with the Four Seasons Bridge Club. She was a longtime, faithful member of First Baptist Church.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Charles Edward Moak. She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Robert Moak of Indianola, David Moak and his wife Sandra of Byhalia, MS; one daughter, Pam Moak Waaser and her husband Ernest of Camarillo, CA; six grandchildren, Alexander, Andrew, Teri, Stephanie, Robert and Falynn; and six great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Burton Funeral Home, Indianola. Funeral services will be Friday, June 3, 2016 at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church, Indianola. Interment will follow in Indianola City Cemetery, all under the direction of Burton Funeral Home, Indianola.
