Betty Elizabeth Dulin Parish, 87, of Belzoni, passed away Monday, August 17, 2026, at Indywood Glen in Greenwood.
Born December 13, 1938, in Oxford, Betty was the daughter of Bill Dulin and Georgia Ree Downs Dulin. She began her working career as a seamstress at Jockey International, where she worked for 10 years before pursuing her passion for beauty. After graduating from beauty school, Betty enjoyed a long and fulfilling career as a hairdresser, touching the lives of many through her work and her warm, caring nature.
Betty was a faithful Christian and a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Belzoni before becoming a member of Beulah Baptist Church. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she was known for her love and devotion to her family.
A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Betty cherished time spent with those she loved. She enjoyed gardening, being outdoors, and making memories with her family. She also held a special place in her heart for her beloved dog, Mattie.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Paul Parish; and siblings, Annette Durham, Mary Jane Appleton, Wayne Dulin, Whit Dulin, Billy George Dulin, Gene Dulin, Larry Dulin, Jimmy Dulin, Ben Dulin, Bob Dulin, and Don Dulin.
She is survived by her daughters, Cindy Ragland (Robert) and Sue Johnson (Howard); brothers, Eddie Dulin, David Dulin, and Ike Dulin; sister, Ruth Ann Woodall; grandchildren, Andrea Ragland, Robert Ragland III (Ashley), Dana Howell (Tim), Tim Ragland (Katie), and Cassye Briscoe (Michael); great-grandchildren, Sarah Brooke, Ellie Emerson, Tucker, Kenley, Austin, and Jay; great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Betty will be remembered for her gentle spirit, steadfast faith, love of family, and the many lives she touched throughout her years. Her greatest joy was found in the people she loved, and her memory will live on through the generations of family she leaves behind.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 21, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Lee Kirk officiating. A private burial will be held. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements
