Billie Louise Anthony Chrestman, 86, of Indianola, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at South Sunflower County Hospital in Indianola.

Billie was born November 3, 1936, in Batesville, to Jessie and Lucille Tidwell Anthony. She went to work for Modern Line Products as the Shipping Supervisor on August 2, 1982, and worked there 17 years before retiring on December 3, 1999. Billie had previously worked for Ludlow Manufacturing. She was a devoted member of Eastwood Baptist Church in Indianola where she was the Hospitality Chairman for decades. Billie was formerly a member of the Junior Womens League. She spearheaded many blood drives for Mississippi Blood Services and received an award for getting the most people to donate.

Billie was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 62 years, Bobby Chrestman; and two brothers, Paul Anthony and Spencer Anthony.

She is survived by two children, Dirk Chrestman (Debbie) of Wesson and Debbie Chrestman Mohamed of Mandeville, Louisiana; one sister, Nita Anthony Davis of Flowood; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and three great – great grandchildren.

The visitation will be held Saturday, November 12, 2022, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, at Eastwood Baptist Church in Indianola. The memorial service will begin at 2:00 pm at Eastwood Baptist Church. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
