Billie Ruth Dickerson Brewer, affectionately known as "Rue-Rue", 75, of Inverness, passed away peacefully at her home Friday, October 16, 2015. Billie Ruth was born in Jackson, and was the daughter of Erma Logan and Walter Dodd Dickerson.

Billie Ruth was a master in the kitchen. She loved to cook, and for many years provided wonderful dishes as well as the best homemade bread and rolls to the public. Billie Ruth loved to see people enjoy eating! She enjoyed visiting and talking with people. Billie Ruth loved her family, and absolutely adored her grandchildren. She was a faithful member of Inverness First Baptist Church. Billie Ruth will be dearly missed by all who knew her, and she will never be forgotten.

Billie Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy Brewer, and brother, Dick Dickerson. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Watson Brewer of Inverness; daughters, Beffie Warman and her husband Sammy of Madison, Mary Gleason Wright and her husband Shan of Inverness; and grandchildren, Madison and Drake Warman, Watson and Mary Clayton Brewer, and Ruth Logan and Brewer Wright.

The family will receive friends Sunday, October 18, 2015 from 1:00 pm until 2:30 pm at Inverness First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 pm in Hickory Grove Cemetery under the direction of Burton Funeral Home of Indianola.
