Billy Ray Brown, 59, of Vicksburg, Mississippi, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018, in St. Mary, Florida.   He was born October 3, 1959, in Detroit, Michigan, and was the son of James William and Annie Pauline Brown.

Billy loved spending time with his family and friends.  In 2002 he started a cinema repair business and traveled the world, which he loved.  Billy made an impression on everyone he met with his humor and charm, which was only surpassed by the size of his heart. Billy was very friendly and always had a smile on his face.   He was kind and generous to a fault.  His compassion for others will always be remembered by his family and friends.  Billy was a Mississippi National Guard Veteran.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents and step father, Cecil Grantham.  He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Donna Rainwater Brown of Vicksburg, Mississippi; sons, J.R. Brown and wife Deidra, Jon Brown and Justin Brown, all of Vicksburg, Mississippi; sisters, Julia Riley and husband Oscar of Holcomb, Mississippi, Mary Mann and husband Phillip of Doddsville, Mississippi, Gladys Cobb and husband Henry of Greenville, Mississippi, and Judy Brown of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; brothers, James Brown and wife Glenda of Panama City, Florida, Carl Brown of Easley, South Carolina, Jimmy Brown of Grenada, Mississippi; grandson, Landon Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, and best friends.

The family will receive friends, Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 11:00 am until the 1:00 pm funeral service at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola.  Burial will follow in Moorhead Cemetery in Moorhead.
