Bobbie Sue Collins Bowen, 56, of Indianola, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at South Sunflower County Hospital in Indianola.

Bobbie Sue was born March 7, 1963 in Indianola to Edward and Mary Syble Williams Collins. She married the love of her life, Marvin Andrew Bowen and together they made their home in Indianola. Bobbie Sue was the Director of Radiology at South Sunflower County Hospital in Indianola for over 20 years. She loved gardening, fishing, and animals. Bobbie Sue was the kindest and most loving person you could ever meet. She was very involved with youth and was the former Youth Director at Eastwood Baptist Church in Indianola. Bobbie Sue was a very active member of the Indianola Academy PTA and coached her granddaughter's basketball teams. She loved her family and her church. Bobbie Sue was a member of First Baptist Church in Indianola.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Mary Syble Williams Collins.

Bobbie Sue is survived by her husband, Marvin "Bo" Bowen of Indianola, Mississippi; three sons, Lee Bowen (Reva) of Moorhead; Chris Bowen (Roy) of McKinney, Texas; Dusty Bowen (Marlana) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; two daughters, Marty Bowen of Jackson, Mississippi; Beth Bowen of Fort Worth, Texas; one brother, Charles Edward Collins of Ruleville, Mississippi; two sisters, Patricia Cole (Roy) of Live Oak, Texas and Mary Lou Foster of Indianola, Mississippi; eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday, April 11, 2019 from 9:00 am until the 10:30 am funeral service at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial will follow in Ellis Cemetery in Indianola.  Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
