Bobby Glen Tarver, 80, of Inverness, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.

Bobby was born July 28, 1943, in Shaw, to H.C. "Joe" Tarver and Birdie Johnson Tarver. He worked in sales in the gin industry for many years prior to his retirement. Bobby was a hard worker and enjoyed his work. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends and reading.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, H.C. "Joe" Tarver and Birdie Tarver; wife, Anita Tarver; and daughter, Donna Tarver.

He is survived by two sons, Chris Tarver (Becky) of Leland, Mark Tarver of Leland; stepson, Brad Fowler (Cindy) of Inverness; two daughters, Denise Etherton (Cecil) of Section, Alabama, Kimberly Debo (Jay) of Carrollton; two brothers, Joe Tarver of Florence and Hilton Tarver (Glenda) of Shaw; twelve grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2024, from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. A private graveside will be held in Hickory Grove Cemetery with Rev. Lee Kirk officiating. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
