Obituary

Bobby Ray Toler, Sr., 80, of Vaiden, passed away Monday, December 6, 2021, at his home.

Bobby was born July 31, 1941, in Greenville, to Ray Lee Toler and Bertha Mae Griffin Toler. He was a United States Marines veteran, stationed in Paris Island. Bobby worked as Fabrication Manager at Modern Line Products in Indianola for 41 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of Interstate Baptist Church where he served as deacon and taught the young men's Sunday school class. Bobby enjoyed playing dominoes, playing guitars, and he loved country music. He also loved hunting and fishing when he was able. Bobby also enjoyed doing genealogy with his daughter if she was the one doing the research.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mae Toler; two brothers, Paul Toler and Billy Toler; and granddaughter, Katrina Kelley Gibson.

Bobby is survived by his daughter, Sharon Grissette of Vaiden; son, Bobby (Sandra) Toler, Jr. of Vaiden; two brothers, Richard (Vera) Toler of Gulfport and Jimmy (Gloria) Toler of Arkansas; two sisters, Sue (Ed) Vance of Greenville and Rita (Raymond) Treadwell of McGhee, Arkansas; three grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Roundaway Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
