Brenda Michelle McCarty Lee, 45, of Indianola, passed away Friday, February 14, 2020 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. Brenda was born May 17, 1974 in Indianola and was the daughter of Mike and Brenda Grantham Sims. She worked for many years as a CNA for Liberty Health and Rehab, Indywood, and Humphreys County Nursing Center. Brenda was very kindhearted, loving, and friendly. She will be missed by all who knew her. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Brenda Sims and her twin brother, Brandon McCarty. She is survived by her sister, Donna Clark and husband Dyron of Belzoni; brother, Michael McCarty of Indianola; two nephews, Nathan McCarty of Indianola and Delvin Clark of Belzoni; two aunts, Cindy Mitchell and husband Bo, and Geraldine Forrest both of Indianola; four uncles, Jody Grantham and wife Bettie Jo of Greenville, Douglas Grantham of Memphis, Charles Grantham and wife Cindy of Vicksburg, and Frank McCarty and wife Brenda of Indianola;  and a host of cousins. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
