Brenda Joyce Grantham Sims, 57, of Indianola, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at her home. Brenda was born in Sunflower, Mississippi, and was the daughter of Charlie Jasper and Clara Opal Grantham. She was a homemaker and devoted her life to her family.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mike Sims; son, Brandon McCarty; and brothers, Paul and James Grantham. She is survived by her son, James Michael Sims of Indianola; daughters, Brenda Michelle Lee of Indianola, Donna Clark and husband Dyron of Isola; brothers, Charles Grantham and wife Cindy of Vicksburg, Joseph Grantham and wife Betty Jo of Greenville, Douglas Grantham of Memphis, Timothy Grantham of Greenville; sisters, Geraldine Forrest and husband Harvey of Indianola, Cindy Mitchell and husband Charles of Indianola; and two grandchildren, Nathaniel McCarty and Delvin Clark.

The family will receive friends Sunday, January 31, 2016 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Burton Funeral Home, Indianola.  Funeral services will be held Monday, February 1, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Burton Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery, all under the direction of Burton Funeral Home.
