C. W. Sullivan, 87, of Indianola, passed away Friday, December 20, 2024, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.

C.W. was born May 7, 1937, in Indianola, to John and Winnie Ashcraft Sullivan. He was an Army National Guard veteran attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. He worked for Indianola Schools and Gresham Service Station for many years prior to his retirement. C. W. was a lifelong Indianola resident who didn't meet a stranger. He loved people and loved serving the people of Indianola, from his years working for the Indianola Schools to his time at Gresham, he always served everyone with a smile. C.W. attended Eastwood Baptist Church in Indianola. He was a loving husband to his wife, Sarah, for 63 years. He loved his son and daughter-in-law deeply, but his three grandchildren were his biggest joy.

C.W. was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sarah Sullivan; brother, Rudolph Sullivan; and two sisters, Helen Jones and Caroly Juanita Whitaker.

He is survived by his son, Mark Sullivan (Allyson) of Tyler, Texas and three grandchildren, Hunter Sullivan, Margaux Sullivan Sanders, and Layla Sullivan.

The memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, December 27, 2024, at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola with Rev. Jimmy Pender officiating. Visitation will follow the service at Burton Funeral Home. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
