Candy Lynn Hodo Bordeaux, 48, of Isola, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2022, at her home. Candy was born October 4, 1973, in Isola, to Clem Hodo, Jr. and Lillian Evelyn Pierce Hodo. She was a very kind and loving person and loved everyone. Candy deeply loved her children. She enjoyed gardening and will always be remembered for speaking her mind with no filter. She was preceded in death by her father, Clem Hodo, Jr. and her brother, Clem "Leroy" Hodo, III. Candy is survived by her significant other, Chester Criddle, Sr. of Isola; mother, Evelyn Hodo of Lucedale; two children, Harley Lee Bordeaux of Montana and Emily Ann Bordeaux of Monroe, Louisiana; one brother, Brian Keith Hodo, Sr. of Springhill, Alabama; six sisters, Connie Guzman of Ridgedale, Missouri, Suzanne McQuary of Ridgedale, Missouri, Amanda Carroll of Hollandale, Loretta Verrett of Lucedale, Margie Mansfield of Wade, and Tammy Cash of Lucedale; 3 grandchildren, Elijah Chase Bordeaux, Sharayha Bordeaux, and Jax Bordeaux; and a very special friend, Mildred Criddle, Chester's mother that she called Mama. Visitation will be held Monday, April 4, 2022, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am at Burton Funeral Home with Rev. Pete Roncali officiating. Burial will follow in Gooden Lake Cemetery in Belzoni. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
