Charles William "Bill" Bennett, Jr., 60, of Isola, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 17, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.

Bill was born August 25, 1963, in Indianola, to Charles W. Bennett, Sr. and Doris Cockrell Bennett. He was a graduate of Indianola Academy and Mississippi Delta Community College. Bill was a truck driver for Delta Pride Catfish and Consolidated Catfish for 40 years. He was also a catfish farmer. Bill loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Bill is survived by his wife of 32 years, Cammie Beckwith Bennett; daughter, Toni Beckwith of Grenada; son Charles Henry Bennett (Tiffany) of Florence; brother, James Richard Bennett of Cleveland, Ohio; sister, Patty Bennett Blaze (Tom) of Independence, Ohio; five grandchildren, Helen Beckwith, William Wooten, Paisley Wilder, Charley Bennett, and Beck Bennett; nephew, Bruce Milam of Ohio; and niece, Hannah Bennett of Colorado.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 19, 2023, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am at Burton Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Painter officiating. Burial will follow in Indianola City Cemetery.  Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
