Charles W. Fitts of Moorhead passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, August 12, 2021.

Charles was born September 28, 1941, in Moorhead, Mississippi, to Paul and Eunice Fitts. He graduated from Sunflower Agricultural High School and Sunflower Junior College. He was known by many in the mid Delta area for his basketball prowess during those years. He farmed with his brother Wayne and their two sons, Tim and Paul, in the Moorhead area his entire life. Along with his wife, Harriet, he enjoyed traveling, and through the years, he had visited many locations around the world. He was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on February 17, 1962, and his faith continued to be an integral part of his life. He served as an elder, full-time minister, and substitute circuit overseer for many years and in many different congregations in the Mississippi Delta, always willing to help out wherever there was a need.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Eunice Fitts.

Charles is survived by his wife, Harriet Fitts; two children, Tim Fitts (Sarah) and Rachel Fitts Nelson (Tim); his brother, Wayne Fitts (Peggy), and many other relatives. The family would like to thank Dr. Donahoe and his staff, Dr. Tammy Young, and Eugene and Joyce Davis for their skillful care during his illness.

Arrangements to be handled by Burton Funeral Home.
