Charles Wesley Kimbrell, 25, of Inverness and formerly of Tunica, died Sunday, July 16, 2017 at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

He was born March 17, 1992 in Starkville, and was the son of Charles Anthony Kimbrell and Pamela Tharp Kimbrell. Charles received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from Delta State University, where he was a member Delta Mu Delta Honor Society. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Inverness and worked for Gresham Petroleum Company.

Charles was preceded in death by his father, Charles Anthony Kimbrell; paternal grandfather, Seaborn Anthony Kimbrell, Jr.; and maternal grandfather, Sammy Lee Tharp.

He is survived by his fiancée, Sabrina Hughes of Inverness; mother, Pam Tharp of Moorhead; brother, Christopher Anthony Kimbrell and his girlfriend Kassie Bailey of Moorhead; sister, Amanda Dykes Holmes of Troy, Alabama; paternal grandmother, Carolyn Kimbrell Cox of Jackson; maternal grandparents, Crystal and Pete Bates of Moorhead; two nephews, Christopher Anthony Kimbrell, Jr. and Hunter Holmes; one niece, Shelby Jo Holmes; and several aunts and uncles.

The family will receive friends Thursday, July 20, 2017 from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral service at First Baptist Church in Inverness. Burial will follow in Indianola City Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola is in charge of arrangements.
