Obituary

Charles Vernon McCauley of Kosciusko, and formerly of Isola, died Sunday, February 12, 2017 at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Kosciusko. He was born June 26, 1929, and was the son of Louis and Vida McCauley.

Charles was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the Blount-Tirey American Legion Post in Isola. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Isola where he served as a deacon. Charles was a retired farmer.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Katherine Linton McCauley; sisters, Vera, Frances, Faye, Dolly; brother, Louis, Jr.; and son-in-law, Wendell Kot.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Camille Roberts and husband Bobby of Purvis, Claudia Kot of Starkville, Tammy Naef of Vancleave; brother, John McCauley and wife Willie Pearl of Berryville, AR; grandchildren, Rob Roberts, Mike Roberts, Rachael Naef, Duane Kot, Stacie Phillips; great grandchildren, Ayla Cruise, Brittany Phillips, Jackson Roberts, Brinlee Roberts, Jacelyn Roberts; and one great-great grandchild, Carley Carroll.

The family will receive friends Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral service at First Baptist Church in Isola. Burial will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery in Inverness. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola is in charge of arrangements.
