Christine Fruge Aderholt, 62, of Leland, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2024, at Delta Health – The Medical Center in Greenville.

Christine was born August 28, 1961, in Lafayette, Louisiana, to Clifton and Greta Veillon Fruge. She was a homemaker and devoted her life to taking care of her husband and children. Family meant everything to her. Christine never met a stranger; she would talk to anyone. She had the biggest heart of anyone. Christine enjoyed coloring, doing puzzles, sewing, embroidery, and going for rides. She and her husband were always out somewhere.

Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Greta Fruge and brother-in-law, Darrell Sonnier.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Ernie "Butch" Aderholt of Leland; two daughters, Rachel Michelle Hicks of Haleyville, Alabama and Kelly Jo Fulton of Leland; stepson, Jason Edward Aderholt (Martha) of Brandon; stepdaughter, Tammy Patrice Ellis (Jerry) of Foley, Alabama; two brothers, Kirk Fruge (Rhonda) of San Angelo, Texas and Clifton Fruge, Jr. (Linda) Kermit, Texas; two sisters, Sandra Sonnier of Kermit, Texas and Nidra Thibodeaux (James) of Eunice, Louisiana; and four stepgrandchildren, Charlie, Maggie, Lucy, and Henry Aderholt.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. The memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm at Burton Funeral Home. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
