Christopher Glenn Hartness, 39, of Sunflower, passed away Friday, October 14, 2022, at his home. Chris was born February 12, 1983, in Indianola, to Carl William Hartness and Mary Jane Burton Hartness. He worked on fish farms for many years and truly loved his work. Chris was preceded in death by his father; maternal grandparents, Jimmie "Joe" and Ila Burton; paternal grandparents, Joe and Ruby Hartness; and stepfather, Charles Long. He is survived by his mother, Jane Burton Long of Sunflower; son, Gabriel Nathaniel Hartness of Ruleville; and sister, April (Ben) Scott of Danville, Kentucky. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 19, 2022, from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Burton Funeral Home. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
