Claudia Ann Evans Heflin, 73, of Isola, passed away peacefully at her home Saturday, August 7, 2021.

She was born August 12, 1947, in Greenwood, to Arthur Barrett Evans and Jean Denson Evans. After college, Claudia worked as a teacher for several years and then dedicated her time to staying home with her children. Once her children were in school, she joined her husband, Warren, at their family business, Heflin Furniture in Belzoni. After Warren's death, Claudia returned to teaching for a few years before her retirement. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Claudia loved music and enjoyed singing. She was very witty and had an amazing sense of humor. Claudia was a faithful member of Eastside Baptist Church in Belzoni.

She was preceded in death by her parents, A.B. and Jean Denson Evans; husband, Warren Heflin; and a brother, Barry Evans.

Claudia is survived by her two sons, Robert Warren Heflin, Jr. of Sitka, Alaska and Ryan Evans Heflin of Gulf Shores, Alabama; and two grandchildren, Lilly Trippe of Starkville and Graham Heflin of Iowa City, Iowa.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 10, 2021, from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral service at Eastside Baptist Church in Belzoni. Rev. Bob Maddux and Rev. Kevin Griffin will officiate. Burial will follow in Belzoni Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
