Crystal Rae Hamilton Bates, 74, of Moorhead, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2020, at Methodist University Hospital, in Memphis, Tennessee.

Crystal was born March 23, 1946, in Sunflower County, to Albert Earl Hamilton and Wilma Reed Hamilton. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James "Pete" Bates; her grandson, Charles Kimbrell; three brothers, Eddie Hamilton, Jason Hamilton, and Bud Hamilton; and one sister, Mildred Hunt.

Crystal is survived by two daughters, Tammy Ward (Gene), Pam Kimbrell; three sons, Michael Tharp (Billie), and Sheay Tharp (Stephanie), and Jason Bates; three brothers, Bobby Hamilton, James Hamilton (Dorothy) and Charlie Hamilton; two sisters, Sandra Colyer (Jerry), and Shirley Finch (Chuck); grandchildren, Megan Hudson, Amanda Lolley, Christopher Kimbrell, Callie Ward, Katelyn Davidson, and Michael Tharp; great-grandchildren, Anthony Kimbrell, Khloe Oakes, Hunter Holmes, Shelby Holmes, and Gunner Davidson.

Arrangements are pending and will be announced when complete. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
