David Ervin Lyons, 70, of Indianola, and formerly of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Greenville, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2020, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. David was born November 24, 1949, in Dermott, Arkansas to Vincent and Louise Hargrove Lyons. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going to the casinos. David loved his family and enjoyed being around the children in the family. He was a United States Army Veteran. David worked many years as a welder at Greenville Head and Block. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Frances Lyons; two brothers, Vincent Lyons and Bill Lyons; and two sisters, Barbara Wilkerson and Frankie Daugherty. David is survived by one daughter, Sherry Longcope of Albuquerque, New Mexico; one son, David Lyons of Fife, Scotland; three brothers, Bob Lyons of Lake Village, Arkansas, Tom Lyons, and Jim Lyons both of Indianola; and two sisters, Jean Pitcox of Talpa, Texas, and Mary Donley of Kingsland, Arkansas. Mr. Lyons will be buried in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Albuquerque, New Mexico next to his beloved wife, Frances. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
