Denton Ray Parkerson, Jr., 66, of Berkeley, California, and formerly of Indianola, passed away Friday, March 16, 2018, at Alta Bates Medical Center in Berkeley.  Denny was born July 30, 1951 in Sunflower County to Denton Ray and Mildred Ivy Parkerson. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Bruce Parkerson and Johnny Wayne Bush. Denny is survived by his sister-in-law, Wanny Lara-Bush of Dayton, Nevada and a host of cousins, including John Carl Skelton and wife Carol Ann of Indianola, Gene Skelton of Indianola, and Robert Skelton and wife Claudette of Greenville. The family will receive friends Monday, March 26, 2018 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. Graveside services will follow in Indianola City Cemetery.
