Diane Paxton McCool, 63, of Isola, passed away Monday, October 26, 2020, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.

Diane was born in Florida to Jimmy Wilson Paxton, Sr. and Sarah Grace Bates Paxton. She graduated from Indianola Academy in 1975 and attended Mississippi University for Women and Mississippi Delta Junior College. Diane was a plain spoken, fun loving person. She was always wanting to go somewhere. Diane worked as a case worker for the Mississippi Department of Human Services for 30 years until her retirement. She was a member of Caile United Methodist Church.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Grace Paxton, and her husband, Jerry McCool.

She is survived by her son, Hayden McCool; brother, Jim Paxton and his wife Anita; and two nephews, Will Paxton and Justin Paxton, all of Isola.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Caile Cemetery with Rev. Allen King officiating. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
