Doris Kathleen Tabor Hudson Steed, 94, of Indianola, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2020, at South Sunflower County Hospital in Indianola.

Doris was born June 7, 1926, in Winston County to William Earl Tabor and Clara Annette Watts Tabor. She worked for many years as a secretary in the Indianola Public School District. Doris was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Indianola.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Nathan K. Hudson and Emmett L. Steed; two daughters, Annette H. Perkins (John Robert) and Gloria H. Philley (Jay); one son, Larry E. Steed (Patricia); her parents; two brothers; two sisters; and many other beloved family members.

Doris is survived by three daughters, Kaye H. Martin (Jacky), Barbara S. Smith (Don), Donna Brasier (Larry); one son, Charles E Steed (Shelia); one brother, Larry Tabor (Marilyn); two sisters, Betty Burchfield, and Mary Ann Sessions; eleven grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

A drive by visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm, Monday, December 21, 2020, at Indianola City Cemetery with a graveside service following at 1:00 pm with Rev. Duncan Hoopes officiating. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.

The family would like to thank her caretakers, Bobbie and Archie Germany, Becky Boyd, and Mary Stamps who took such good care of her over the past years.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Indianola or any charity of your choice in Doris' memory.
