Dorothy Faye Farmer Carpenter, 72, of Tupelo and formerly of Indianola died Friday, October 16, 2015 at Tupelo Nursing and Rehab in Tupelo. Mrs. Carpenter, the daughter of Oliver Earl and Edna Pauline West Farmer, was born May 17, 1943 in Midnight, MS.

She was a Baptist by faith and worked many years as a teacher's assistant. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kerryn Clark Carpenter, Jr.; and two brothers, Larry G. Farmer and Earl D. Farmer, Sr.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Bonnie C. Farrar and husband Keith of Baldwyn; sister, Kathy F. Anderson of Inverness; and two grandchildren, Xan Hancock and Jenna Hancock of Tupelo.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, October 19, 2015 at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Inverness. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola is in charge of arrangements.
