Elsie Lou Hailey Holloway, 84, of Indianola, passed away Friday, February  4, 2022, at South Sunflower County Hospital in Indianola.

Elsie was born March 27, 1937, in Michigan City, Mississippi, to William and Annie Gray Hailey. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Elsie loved tending to her flowers and always had to stay busy doing something. She was a member of Sunflower Baptist Church in Sunflower.

Elsie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clark Holloway; daughters, Linda Holloway and Debra Holloway Burton; and son in law, Thurman White, Jr; four brothers; and three sisters.

She is survived by four children, Anthony (Charlotte) Holloway of Shelby, Iowa, Florance White of Lumberton, Texas, Jerry (Faye) Holloway of Sunflower, and Patsy (Frank) Williams of Indianola; son in law, James Burton of Sunflower; two sisters, Nita Stewart of Greenville and Kathy Linn of Jackson; two brothers, Sam Hailey of Florence and Ray Hailey of New Orleans, Louisiana; nine grandchildren, Andy Holloway, Randall Holloway, Jamie Burton, Stacy Burton, Marsha Smith, Janice Messina, Johnathan Holloway, Kathrine Boykin, Kimberly Holloway, and Ashley Clark; and fifteen great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 9, 2022, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm with Rev. Trey Pearce officiating. Burial will follow in Indianola City Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
