Obituary

Emma Jean Kelley Lester, 70, of Olive Branch and formerly of Indianola, passed away Monday, August 24, 2015, at her home with her family  by her side. Emma was born in Picayune, Mississippi, the daughter of William Washington and Natalie Virginia Trimm. She was retired from Burger King after 25 years of restaurant management. She enjoyed life and wanted everyone around her to enjoy life too! Emma was a devoted mother and often stated her greatest accomplishment and love of her life was her son, Anthony Kelley, who was so precious to her.

Emma was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, Crafton Bailey;  long-time companion, Larry Starnes; and husband, Gerald Lester. She leaves to cherish her life and memories her son, Anthony Kelley (Lisa) of Indianola, MS; step-mother, Lessie Trimm; brothers, Bill Trimm (Shirley) and Cooper Bailey (Pam) all of Senatobia, MS; sisters, Barbara Powers (Gary) of Olive Branch, MS; Minnie Williams of Senatobia, MS; granddaughter, Jessica Tillman-Cali of Thayer, Missouri; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday, August 29, 2015 from 1:00 pm until the 3:00 pm memorial service at Burton Funeral Home, Indianola. Rev. Stephen Sparks will officiate.
