Obituary

Evelyn Bennett Brown Williams, 89, of Indianola, passed away Monday, August 17, 2020, at South Sunflower County Hospital.

Evelyn was born February 3, 1931, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to Luther Bennett and Nancy Daw Bennett. She worked as a LPN at South Sunflower County Hospital ER for 29 years, Liberty Health and Rehabilitation Center for 6 years, and for Inverness Homes for 2 years prior to her retirement. Evelyn was a member of First Baptist Church in Indianola.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Irby Brown and Ford Williams; two sons, Glenn Brown and Larry Brown; and three brothers, Luther Bennett, Jessie Bennett, and James Bennett.

Evelyn is survived by her sister, Mildred Naticchioni of Sheridan, Arkansas; two sisters-in-law, Marie Bennett of Nashville, Illinois, and Frances Dickson of Jackson; five nephews; four nieces; and many friends.

Private graveside services will be held Thursday, August 20, 2020, at Indianola City Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
