Frances Weems Card, 82, of Indianola, passed away Monday, March 8, 2021, at her home.

Frances was born July 15, 1938, in Lexington to Edward Weems and Alba Lee Hester Weems. She was a graduate of Mississippi State University. Frances worked many years as a collector for Mid South Collection Agency. She loved football, especially Ole Miss football. Frances never met a stranger and was loved by everyone who met her. She loved her friends and family more than anything. Frances was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Eldy Card.

Frances is survived by two step children, Eldy "Butch" Card, Jr. (Stephanie) and Debra (Jerry) Brown all of Greenville; seven grandchildren, Eldy "Bo" Card, III (Rae), Michelle (Carl) Sanderson, Jacob Marshall Card, Charity (Carl) Kilgore, Monica (Dusty) Davis, Mary (Steven) Nevels, and Casey Williams; fourteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 10, 2021 from 2:00 pm until the 3:00 pm funeral service at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. Rev. John T. Burke will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Indianola City Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
