Frances Porter Hurt's Obituary
Frances Porter Hurt, 87, of Indianola, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at South Sunflower County Hospital in Indianola with her loving family by her side.
She was born November 17, 1929 in Forrest City, Arkansas and was the daughter of Jack and Virgie Moore Porter. Mrs. Hurt was a very loving person and truly loved her family. She was a faithful Christian and was a member of First Baptist Church of Indianola.
Mrs. Hurt was preceded in death by her husband, Troy I. Hurt; and two sisters, Virgie Mae Abel and Rose Marie Lofton.
She leaves to cherish her memory three sons, Larry P. Chism, Harry M. Chism and his wife Sandra, and John P. "Pat" Chism and his wife Kathy; one sister, Helen Porter Slayton and her husband Emmitt; seven grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 am, Thursday, May 11, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Indianola. Graveside services will be at 3:30 pm at Forrest Park Cemetery in Forrest City, Arkansas. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola is in charge of arrangements.
