Frances Lee Butler Pace, 96, of Indianola, and formerly of Isola, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at Indywood Personal Care Home in Indianola.

Frances was born July 15, 1926, in Mize, to Tom and Treva Spell Butler. She married Herbert Pace and together they made their home in Memphis for many years. Frances worked in sales and customer service at Goldsmith's in Memphis for 37 years prior to her retirement in 1988. After their retirement, she and Herb moved to Isola, next door to her mother. Frances was a beautiful and loving soul. She would help anyone. Her ministry and the way she often shared her love was through cooking. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed the fellowship that came when she prepared a meal. Frances enjoyed gardening and growing flowers. She collected beautiful antiques and loved telling her visitors the story behind them and where she got them. Frances was a member of First Baptist Church in Isola.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Herbert D. Pace, Sr; son, Herbert D. Pace, Jr.; four brothers, Tommy Butler, James Butler, George Butler, and Pat Butler; and one sister, Colleen Butler Hardin.

Frances is survived by her nephew, Robert Pace (Fay) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; dear friends, Dwight and Anne Boone of Isola; sister-in-law, Carolyn Butler of Prentiss; grandson, Chris Pace of Huntington, Tennessee; two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, February 13, 2023, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis, Tennessee with Rev. Jack Chapman officiating. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
