Ethel Frances McGlown Haven Sims, 88, of Indianola, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022, at South Sunflower County Hospital in Indianola.

Frances was born October 5, 1933, in Vicksburg, to James Lawson McGlown and Ina Iona Hyatt McGlown. She worked at Lewis Grocer Company in Indianola for many years prior to her retirement. Frances was a devoted longtime member of Second Baptist Church, now Delta Revival Center, in Indianola.  She was a loving mother and grandmother and adored her family.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ollie Earl Haven; her husband, J.W. Sims; son, Frank "Fuzzy" Haven; several siblings; and two grandchildren, William Denton Horne and Patricia Rayne Mead. She is survived by two children, Don Haven of Brookhaven and Linette Haven of Indianola; sister, Mary (Billy) Clark of Iowa; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, Friday, April 8, 2022, at Delta Revival Center in Indianola. The service will begin at 2:00 pm with Rev. Duane Keith officiating. Burial will follow in Methena Cemetery in Belzoni. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
