Frances Butler Upchurch, 69, of Inverness, passed away Monday, October 29, 2018 at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.

Frances was born January 4, 1949 in Bruce, Mississippi to G. W. and Lora Pearl Daniels Butler. She worked many years in the customer service industry. Frances was a very giving person who loved her animals and loved helping others. She loved baking and was known to make the best pecan pies and coconut cakes. Frances was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church in Indianola.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Layton "Sonny" Upchurch, Jr.

Frances is survived by one daughter, Liz Pate and her husband Jerry of Indianola; one son, Tim Upchurch and his wife Cindy of Moorhead; two brothers, Billy Butler of Dumas, Mississippi, Robert Butler and his wife Sharon of Kilmichael; two sisters, Ora Jean Ferguson of Sturgis, Mississippi, Brenda Locke of Winona; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 1:00 pm until the 2:00 pm funeral service at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial will follow in Indianola City Cemetery. Burton funeral home has been entrusted with arrangements.
