Gerald Wayne Lester, 63, of Indianola passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at his home. He was born September 22, 1951 and was the son of George Leslie and Jimmy Marie Lester. Gerald served in the United States Army. He was a retired truck driver from SuperValu in Indianola.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Christopher Lester; and four brothers and sisters. Gerald leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Emma Jean Kelley Lester of Indianola; one son, Caleb Lester (Deranda) of Germantown, TN; one daughter, Stephanie Lester Boyd of Greenville; one brother, George Leslie Lester, Jr. of Grenada; four sisters, Judy Bennett (John) of Winona, Carolyn Alexander of Flowood, Evelyn Dowdle (Billy Ray) of The Villages, FL, Margaret Simpson of Coffeeville; four grandchildren, Kirsten Boyd Ellis (Matthew), Joshua Boyd (Debra), Bailey Beck, Darcy Anna Lester; and three great grandchildren, Makynleigh Faith Ellis, Maizie Jo Ellis, and Donnie O'Brian Boyd.

The family will receive friends Saturday, April 18, 2015 from 1:00 pm until the 2:00 pm memorial service at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
