Glen Edward King, 83, of Indianola, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2022, at South Sunflower County Hospital in Indianola.

Glen was born August 11, 1938, in Choctaw, to Everette Freeman King and Myrtis Allen King. He owned and operated A & H Parts Company in Indianola for many years and worked for McKay's Auto Parts prior to his retirement in 2017. Glen was a wonderful man with a strong Christian faith. He studied the Bible very faithfully and loved the Lord with all his heart. Glen was a charter member of Eastwood Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He loved cars and love looking at old cars. Glen enjoyed traveling, especially to Branson with his wife. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife of 63 years, Donna Hamner King.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters, Cheri King Peeples and her husband Greg of Louisville, and Alana King Moore and her husband Buster of Indianola; two sisters, Jeanette Horis and her husband Aaron of Harrison, Arkansas, and Mary "Niecie" Kirksey and her husband Clarence of Indianola; four grandchildren, Sarah Clark and her husband Justin, Anna Willoughby and her husband Andrew, Thomas Moore, and Rachael Peeples; and four great grandchildren, Della Rose Willoughby, Beverly Lynn Clark, Jackson Henry Willoughby, and Robert Hudson Clark.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 3, 2022, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, at Eastwood Baptist Church. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am with Rev. Jimmy Pender officiating. Burial will follow in Indianola City Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
